Art 4 Epilepsy
The Epilepsy Foundation of Hawaii creates opportunities and space for people living with epilepsy to express themselves through art. This is done in a group setting to create artistic pieces using a variety of mediums, strengthen the artistic voice, and learn from others in an open, welcoming environment. The artwork also serves to help raise awareness about the realities of life with epilepsy. View our virtual art gallery below.
Upcoming Events:
In these trying times with the devastation in Maui, we understand the importance of coming together as a community to provide support and comfort to one another. We are organizing a free workshop to offer a safe and nurturing environment for healing and collective strength.
Let’s gather our epilepsy ʻohana together to continue the cultural practice of lei making. This will be a hands-on in-person experience and will be an opportunity to learn together, connect, share knowledge, and talk story. This workshop is free and open to individuals, caregivers, and families living with epilepsy. No experience is necessary; all levels of experience are welcome. Hoʻomaluhia Botanical Garden has free parking and there will be refreshments provided. This will be a morning full of reflection and relationship-building.
