The Epilepsy Foundation of Hawaii is excited to host the Hawaii Epilepsy Education Conference in person. It’s been two years!
The Hawaii Epilepsy Education Conference is Hawaii’s educational and networking opportunity for people living with epilepsy, professionals who serve them, caregivers, family, and community members. Each year the Epilepsy Foundation of Hawaii brings together a group of experts to share their clinical and personal insights on epilepsy and wellness.
This year’s topics include the current state of epilepsy care, information about autoimmune epilepsy, and information and considerations for transitional care for people living with epilepsy. We will discuss why wellness and self-care matter and will facilitate a panel discussion by caregivers for caregivers.
The conference also features an inspirational address as well as a health and resource fair. Whether participants join us in person or virtually, they’ll have an opportunity to learn and connect at this year’s conference.

Why Is Seizure First Aid Important?
Knowing how to help someone during a seizure can make a difference and save a life. While there are many different types of seizures, during many of them a person may be confused, not aware of what is going on, or unconscious. A person could get hurt during a seizure or a seizure could last too long, or the seizures could cluster.
